Please scroll through, and READ carefully! 1) Explanation of 5 Attributes and Your Rule Over Them
Ball Control-Effects handling of ball while on offense.
Ball Defense-Effects the other team's ability to handle the ball, and your ability to steal it.
Shooting Defense-Effects the other team's ability to shoot the ball, and your ability to block it.
Rebounding-Effects the gaining of possesion to a team.
Shooting-Effects accuracy in shots while on offense.
Your control over these is limited at the start, but there as the dynasty goes on.
The more recruiting points that you give a player, the better he will be in the attributes.
However, this is a limited help. After each season, each player receives 5-10 experience points
to be put into the 5 attributes based on how well your team did in the previous season.
In Version 1, there were 5 starters and 5 bench warmers. In Version 2, there are just the 5 starters, and there is no
home court advantage. The home court advantage this version is the ability to score 0-5 more points then the opposing team. 2) NBA Draft
Also, players will leave early for the NBA based on a random generator if, and only if, they would be a top 10 choice.
They will play freshmen through junior years, but may skip senior. All players will leave
after senior year.
NOTE: They will most likely leave early AFTER your experience update. 3) Experience Updates/Recruiting/NBA Draft
When you start the game, when you recruit you'll have 50 recruiting points to use. You must use all 50 recruiting points, and use it on all
players. 5-30 points per player.
You shall also choose a team name at this time. The team name must be that of a college basketball team!
Experience updates, the NBA Draft, and Off-Season Recruiting will occur during the 2-3 week
off-season span. Experience updates are first to see if anybody could leave early for the Draft. Second, the NBA Draft
will occur so you know who you need to recruit. Third, you recruit your players with the recruiting points your team
earned in the previous season. In recruiting, you must specify if the amount of recruiting points for each needed position, and if
you want that player to be a junior-college transfer or a freshmen. If JU-CO or freshmen isn't specified, you'll receive a freshmen.
Finally, you get your recruits which will be posted on the web page.
NOTE: Experience points and recruiting points will be posted on the message board for each team, as this info really has little effect with
"spying". There will be a form to send in recruits during offseasons. 4) Schedule
Games will be played on the weekend, either being put up Saturday or Sunday with 5 games per day per team. Each team
has a 20 game schedule made out by me, and conferences will be made up by me. Following the regular season will be the
conference tournaments. After conference tournaments, comes The Big Dance. All teams will be involved in the Big Dance,
and, if necessary, byes will be implemented for the higher seeds. Following the Championship, the offseason which gives us enough time to
do all that was mentioned above.
NOTE: Teams may be moved to a new conference as new teams register. This will not happen often. 5) Games
Games are based on a formula I created. This formla involves the 5 attributes that were previously mentioned. Hopefully, you
will learn how to add experience and recruit with success, with your own personal experience, and the very subtle clues I
gave you about each attribute before.
This formula will give us the total score, offensive and defensive rebounds, and turnovers. 6) I suppose I should mention, Needs to Play
Virtually, none. Nothing to download, no fees, WebTV and AOL can play. All you need is an email address, a computer, and the
internet! Well, and some enthusiasm in basketball. 7) Speaking of Fees...
You have 5 players. For a mere $5 per player, you can buy an extra 10 experience points for that player.
NOTE: There will be NO $2 for 6 point deals or NO $10 for 20 points, etc. JUST $5 for 10 points per player!
These 10 experience's will be added during the offseason. If you want to buy the exp, email
collegebballguy@yahoo.com for more details.
And each team may get sepcial free bonus experience if certain things that would otherwise make me happy are done! 8) Rankings
They are basically the same as real college basketball.
Conference standings-Based on the conference record with tie-breaking going into the overall record, team vs. team, and if they're still tied,
alphabetical order.
Top 25-Based on previous games as you will move up or down the poll. These can be inaccurate as in real college hoops.
The Big Dance-Seeds will be decided on your season. Difficulty of schedule and how you did with it, as in real college hoops, again. 9) Can you have more then one team?
NOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Head-to-Head College Basketball is made for 32 different teams, and we'd like 32 different coaches enjoying the game.
It also makes it more enjoyable for you. 10) Retirement
If you would like to quit the game, IMMEDIATELY email collegebballguy@yahoo.com telling me!
