This game was close throughout. Neither team could capitalize on the boards or off the few turnovers. The better shooting team won this game.

27/5 29/2
Blocks/Steals 5/2 5/2

POST-GAME THOUGHTS

Games like this can only be explained by saying "The Cyclones shot 23% from the field mainly on lay ups". You can also say they shot well at the line too, but Kentucky was burning it up from every where between the basket and the half court line.

Elite 8---Midwest---Chicago
#2 UNLV #1 Iowa
Points 61 87
Rebounds
Defensive/Offensive
21/6 28/4
Blocks/Steals 5/0 1/4
Turnovers 23 28

POST-GAME THOUGHTS

UNLV regained some reboudning ability for this game, but Iowa came out of a 6 game shotting slump of games below 80 to win this one badly and find their first Final 4.

Elite 8---South---Atlanta
#2 DePaul #1 Virginia Tech
Points 78 65
Rebounds
Defensive/Offensive
35/14 13/1
Blocks/Steals 4/1 2/1
Turnovers 39 24

POST-GAME THOUGHTS

The Demons were horrible holding on to the ball, but they were great at grabbing it outrebounding the Hokies 49-14. This ended the hopes of a Hokie Repeat, as not even this struggling DePaul team could blow that. The question will be, is the struggle over as they head for Phoenix?
