Byerless after an offseason bribery scandal. Byers was suspended for the first 5 games of the season and was
fined. UNLV lost 3 other games.

Illinois coached by Lachlan Strong won the Illinois Tournament.
UNI won the CCSU Tournament by 1 point over CCSU in overtime.
Kentucky coached by Steve Utych won the Kentucky Tournament.
Utah coached by Victor Davis won the Michigan Tournament.
Virginia Tech coached by Mr. Strong won the Virginia Tech Tournament.
No team went a perfect 5-0, but 3 teams went 4-1. Those teams were UNI, Utah, and USC.
Games 6-10 went up on March 11, 2000 on schedule. UNLV recooperated with Coach Byers back on the bench to gain
4-1. UNLV remained undefeated at home.
UNI won the USC Tournament by 1 point.
Ohio St. coached by Thomas Cannon won the Ohio St. Tournament.
USC coached by Patrick Puhl won the USC Tournament.
Utah won the Utah Tournament.
CCSU won the Minnesota Tournament.
UNLV won the UNLV Tournament.
Teams that went 5-0 were UNI to move up to 9-1. Virginia Tech also went 5-0 to move up to 8-2.
Games 11-15 went up on March 19, 2000 on schedule. CCSU rgained hopes with a 4-1 run after a 4-6 start.

Purdue won the Purdue Tournament.
Virginia Tech won the Cincinatti Tournament.
Illinois won the West Virginia Tournament.
Conference seasons began with game 15.
Teams going 5-0 were UNI, improving to 14-1. That was all.
Games 16-20 went up on March 26, 2000 on schedule.
The Utah Utes won the Big Ten Conference Regular Season with a 6-0 mark.
The UNI Panthers won the Big 12 Conference Regular Season with a 6-0 mark.
The Kentucky Wildcats won the CUSA Regular Season by tiebreaker over CCSU with a 5-1 mark.
The Virginia Tech Hokies won the SEC Regular Season by tiebreaker over UNCC, Virginia Tech, and Purdue with a
3-3 mark.
Teams going 5-0 in this set were Utah improving to 17-3, UNI improving to 19-1.

Utah and Ohio St. advanced to the Big Ten Championship over UNLV and Cal. Utah won 66-64.
UNI and Illinois advanced to the Big 12 Championship over Minnesota and Michigan. UNI won 73-70.
Kentucky and CCSU advanced to the CUSA Championship over West Virginia and Cincinatti. CCSU won 73-71 in OT.
Virginia Tech and USC advanced to the SEC Championship over Purdue and UNCC. USC won 52-51.
Seedings also went up on April 1.
1 seeds went to UNI, Utah, CCSU, and Illinois.
2 seeds went to USC, Kentucky, Virginia Tech, and Ohio St.
3 seeds went to California, Purdue, UNCC, and UNLV.
4 seeds went to Michigan, Cincinatti, Minnesota, and West Virginia.
The Elite 8 matchups were UNI and Ohio St. with UNI winning, Utah and Kentucky with Utah the winner, CCSU and
Virginia Tech with Techa advancing, and Illinois and USC with USC taking the game in overtime by 1 point.
UNI beat Tech in the Final 4 63-58, and Utah beat USC 63-62. UNI won the Season 2 Championship 69-67 over the
Utes.
In the All-Star Weekend at Dallas, the Big 10 finished 1-3 to take 4th. They were coached by Victor Davis.
The SEC took third place with a 1-3 record coached by Patrick Puhl of USC.
The CUSA got second place with a 2-2 record coached by Doug Osborne.
The Big 12 got a 4-0 record to win the All-Star Weekend. They were coached by 5-0 All-Star coach Bruce
Gramowski.
Stork of Utah for the Big 10 won the Off the Bench Stand Out Award for Season 2.
The Season 2 MVP was Soloman of Kentucky for the CUSA.
Coach of the Year went to Doug Osborne of CCSU for the CUSA.
